September 18 2014, at around 11:20pm I have agreed to meet these two people at the The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Philippines) – Eastwood Mall, Libis Branch for a sales transaction. I just would like to share my experience:
ALYSSA ALEXANDRA TRESIANA SERNA a former employee of Century Properties Real Estate and HS classmate from San Beda College – Alabang has contacted me last September 17 asking me to lend her money. Telling me that she just got out of the hospital and needs the money to report to work. Instead, I just gave her the opportunity to earn for herself since. Our agreement was to split the commission from the sale/s that we made from the transactions in return for her referrals.
She then presented a guy named “Adlai” as a referral for a possible sale. She mentioned that this “Adlai” is a was a well-known salon owner from Ateneo de Manila University and wants to offer the event that we promote to his clients. She actually pushed me to bring in a laptop with my presentation for a possible sponsorship. So in good faith we met them at Eastwood – despite being all the way from the south since we would be earning a fair amount of money.
Our meeting was set to 10:00 pm, but Alyssa moved it to 11 p.m because “Adlai” is coming from work. My colleague Ilean and I got there to Eastwood around 10:30 and got to TCBTL at approx. 11:00 pm. We then got a message from Alyssa that her client is not replying, signaling that we might not push through with the meeting but insisted to meet us for drinks or coffee.
Alyssa, met us at CBTL by 11:10. We chit-chatted for a while since we haven’t seen each other for nearly 11 years. She then told me that she’s currently staying in QC with a friend and not in good terms with her mom and providing for herself. I asked her more about her client, she insisted that they havent met before and it was only “Adlai’s” mom that she met because she was a client of hers in Century. I clarified that she mentioned earlier via facebook that “Adlai” was a direct friend of hers, but she insisted that this guy is a stranger to her as much he is to me.
10 mins after, she said that “Adlai” is sitting outside the cafe. I asked her to meet him first since they wanted to smoke and figured that would buy me time to finish my presentation. A couple of mins., after texted me me requesting if we could do the presentation outside between just the three of us (Alyssa, “Adlai” and myself) because her client was “nahihiya daw sa lalaki mong kasama”. My friend and I agreed to their absurd request, he was suspicious but I gave him the assurance that i’ll let him know immediately if the guy tries to pull something on me.
I got outside and Alyssa introduced me to “Adlai”. I noticed that this guy was sweating like a pig and he seemed jittery / restless, irritated by the heat – which was weird because it the weather was relatively cool and I myself was freezing because of the storm. I just proceeded and focused with my presentation. He seemed interested with the event but I couldn’t comprehend his comments because he talked so fast and relied on Alyssa’s reassuring look to interpret “Adlai”‘s. He then mentioned that he needed to borrow my phone to call his dad up because he’s the one to release the payment, Alyssa asked that maybe I had a charger inside instead, I promptly said “wala eh”. He then asked for my full name because they were going to pay it with a cheque, while I gave him my full name he stopped me then insisted to write it down instead. So I got my laptop went inside CBTL to borrow a pen and paper. When I came back they were gone.
In disbelief, I even tried to go in and out of the cafe several times thinking that they must just have met the Dad of “Adlai” to get the cheque.
They didn’t return and took off with my phone. A Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (black).
By this time my phone has already been turned off and Alyssa’s facebook account is already deactivated.
We were assisted by 1800 (the building where the CBTL is), Eastwood City Mall and CBTL crew to get a hold of the CCTV footage. But they needed some sort of password for 1800’s CCTV and asked us to return during office hours. But we filed for the request already.
We then proceeded to Eastwood Police Station 12 to file a blotter, but also asked to return the next day because the person in charge was not available.

The next day I tried to find out as much as I can about the whereabouts of this two thieves.
I immediately message the owners of Salon de Manila, to notify them that someone is using Adlai Antonio’s name in criminal activity. Mr. Antonio graciously cooperated with me and immediately provided information about these two thieves.
He then showed me a photo of a guy named RYAN LU – the boyfriend of ALYSSA ALEXANDRA TRESIANA SERNA. Mr. Antonio stated that he was also approached by the couple a few days earlier also borrowing the a certain amount of money because Ryan was a former friend. He was shocked that Ryan had to drag his family name to his crimes and immediately assured me that he would like to press charges and continue to cooperate to capture the two.

I believe that this duo, RYAN LU & ALYSSA ALEXANDRA TRESIANA SERNA is very dangerous.
Some facts:
— I have learned that Ryan Lu is currently in and out of rehab due to his drug addiction. He might have been under the influence during our meeting.
— They might have used the same modus to other victims by stealing the identities of others to mislead their victims.
— I intentionally did not disclose to Alyssa that I was bringing in a friend for security purposes. I believe that they already surveyed the area of CBTL and was caught off guard when they saw that I brought a friend with me and made them thought of canceling the meeting.
— They are believed to reside together in QC.
— Both come from middle to upper class families.

I hope that you could share this post on social media to avoid being victimized future run-ins with this couple. I was lucky that it was only my phone that they got. But I dont think that they will stop and could possibly commit a heinous crime not unless they are caught.
Please help me locate RYAN LU & ALYSSA ALEXANDRA TRESIANA SERNA.
I treat my phone as the lifeline to my job and honestly its not even paid for fully by my mom since its on an installment plan. You might think that im crying over spilled milk but that phone is bought with hard earned money.
My mom is a single parent and its one of the few things that she could provide me with and I turned her gift into a possible opportunity to make an honest living out of. We only come from a simple family and we humbly ask for you help to locate RYAN LU & ALYSSA ALEXANDRA TRESIANA SERNA – to return what’s not theirs and stop victimizing other people.
