Cebu Pacific to Launch Direct Manila–Riyadh Flights Starting March 2026

Cebu Pacific is set to expand its Middle East network with the launch of a new direct Manila–Riyadh route beginning March 1, 2026, offering a major boost in connectivity for Filipinos working and living in Saudi Arabia. The low-cost carrier announced that the new service aims to provide more affordable and convenient travel options for the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Kingdom.

Direct Flights Four Times Weekly

The airline will operate four weekly flights between the Philippine capital and Saudi Arabia’s busiest city:

  • Manila to Riyadh: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

  • Riyadh to Manila: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

This marks Cebu Pacific’s return to Riyadh and strengthens its position as one of the key carriers linking the Philippines to the Middle East.

Lower Fares for OFWs and Travelers

Cebu Pacific says travelers may save up to 57% on round-trip fares compared to existing market options. To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering an introductory ₱1 one-way base fare promotion (excluding taxes and fees), sparking strong interest among cost-conscious travelers and OFWs eager for more affordable flights home.

The company emphasized that the new route supports its mission to make air travel more accessible while recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of Filipino workers abroad.

A Strategic Expansion

The Riyadh launch becomes Cebu Pacific’s fourth long-haul international destination, joining Dubai and routes to Australia such as Sydney and Melbourne. The airline cited growing passenger demand between the Gulf Region and the Philippines—driven largely by labor mobility—as a key reason for the expansion.

Saudi Arabia hosts one of the largest Filipino migrant populations, making the Manila–Riyadh corridor a crucial link for family reunions, work rotations, and holiday travel.

What Passengers Should Consider

While the base fare promotion is attractive, travelers are advised to review full charges including taxes, surcharges, baggage fees, and other add-ons that can affect the final ticket price. Seat availability may also be limited due to high demand, especially during peak OFW travel periods.

Additionally, passengers must ensure compliance with Saudi and Philippine immigration policies, particularly for workers on contract or those requiring additional travel documentation.

Looking Ahead

The launch of the Manila–Riyadh direct service underscores Cebu Pacific’s ongoing recovery and expansion strategy after global travel disruptions. More importantly, it brings renewed convenience to the hundreds of thousands of Filipinos who rely on this route for work, family, and personal travel.

As March 2026 approaches, analysts expect the competition in the Gulf–Philippines aviation market to intensify—ultimately benefiting travelers through better options and lower fares.
