According to initial reports, the deceased has been identified as Mary Jill Dela Cerna Muya, a 44-year-old resident of Barangay Cubay, Jaro district in Iloilo City. Family members discovered her lifeless body inside her accommodation in Abu Dhabi, though details surrounding the exact circumstances of her death remain unclear at this time.
In social media posts circulated by relatives and community supporters, it was indicated that the family has received disturbing photos that they believe show Mary Jill in distress prior to her passing, including alleged images suggesting self-harm.
