Amidst the ongoing crisis with pandemic, COVID-19, three companies in Kuwait are offering their subscribers daily 5 gigabytes free internet for one month.
Government spokesperson Tareq Al-Mezrem said on Friday that the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) agreed on the free internet which will be given by three mobile operators in Kuwait starting March 22.
Aside from free internet, the company will also provide free calls for the same period.
To contain the disease and keep it from spreading, even more, shopping malls were shut down except for those selling food and grocery items. Even those children’s entertainment centers were shut down to curb the spread of the virus. Both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are making all the drastic decisions to stop the spread of the pandemic. They have canceled all international flights and didn’t reveal how long it will last.
“Production and export operations were not affected by the government’s decision to suspend work in governmental institutions,” says the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
