2 Filipina Domestic Helpers Added To The Latest Number of COVID-19 Cases in Kuwait

The cases of COVID-19 in Kuwait is rising every day. Just like other countries all over the world, Kuwait is taking all the necessary precautionary measures to curb the spread of the disease.

Currently, there are 17 new cases in Kuwait as confirmed by the Health Ministry in the past 24 hours. According to Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, the infected Kuwaiti national traveled to UAE, four traveled to the United Kingdom, a Lebanese, Somali and another Kuwaiti traveled to Switzerland.

One Kuwaiti national went to Egypt and the 8 other individuals had close contact with other infected individuals. The nationalities of these individuals include four Kuwaitis, one Indian, one Egyptian and two Filipina domestic helpers.

Currently, the total number of infected in Kuwait is 176. The Ministry of Health encourages the public to follow the authorities when it comes to quarantine guidelines to contain the spread of the disease.

Here is the data released by the government:

  • Eight cases who were in contact with confirmed traveled to the United Kingdom (4 Kuwaiti nationals + 4 residents).
  • One case of a Kuwaiti national related to travel to U.A.E.
  • One case of a Kuwaiti national related to travel to Egypt
  • Three cases of related to travel to Switzerland (one Kuwaiti national + 2 residents)
