Haifa, Israel — Authorities have identified the four victims of a deadly missile attack that struck a residential building in Haifa as members of the same family, including one Filipina.
The victims were named as Vladimir Gershovitz, 73; his wife Lena Ostrovsky Gershovitz, 68; their son Dimitri “Dima” Gershovitz, 42; and Dima’s partner, Lucille-Jane Gershovitz, 29. Lucille-Jane, a citizen of the Philippines, was reportedly married to Dima since 2024 and was known as a beloved educator at a daycare center.

All four were killed when a ballistic missile, reportedly fired from Iran, struck their apartment on Sunday afternoon.
Rescue teams conducted an intensive overnight operation to retrieve the victims from the rubble. The final body was recovered approximately 18 hours after the strike, highlighting the scale of destruction caused by the attack.
Tributes poured in following the confirmation of their identities, particularly for Lena Ostrovsky Gershovitz, a respected teacher at the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio in Jerusalem. She was remembered by the Israeli theater community for her dedication to mentoring generations of actors.
The incident adds to growing tensions in the region, as civilians continue to bear the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict.
