Kuwait Health Ministry Confirms Three Cases of Coronavirus

On Feb 24, the Ministry of Health in Kuwait has announced that the country has three cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) which has been spreading all across the world.

According to the Health Ministry, the preliminary tests which were conducted to people from Mashhad, Iran confirmed that they have been carrying COVID-10.

The first case of coronavirus in Kuwait was a 53-year-old Kuwaiti citizen. Next is a Saudi citizen age 61-years old and finally a 21-year-old whose nationality was withheld. These three coronavirus patients are under strict observation by the Kuwaiti medical staff.

The Ministry of Health together with other related government bodies are already coordinating to inform the public to take necessary precautionary measures in accordance with the standards released by the World Health Organization (WHO).

How To Protect Yourself From Coronavirus and People Around You?

  • Wash your hands after coughing or sneezing
  • Wash your hands when caring for the sick
  • Wash your hands before, during and after you prepare food
  • Wash your hands before eating
  • Wash your hands after toilet use
  • Wash your hands when hands are visibly dirty
  • Wash your hands after handling animals or animal waste.

Always remember to do the proper handwashing. Wash your hands with soap and running water when hands are visibly dirty. If hands are not visibly dirty, frequently use alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

To stop the spread of disease, it is important to know not just how to protect yourself but also the people around you. When coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or a tissue. Throw immediately the used tissue into a closed bin after use. Clean your hands with alcohol-based hand-rub or soap and water after you cough or sneeze and when you’re caring for the sick.
