Kuwait City — The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has arrested the owner of a social media account and several individuals after a video circulating online was found to violate public morals and societal values.
According to official sources, the General Department of Criminal Investigations, through the Farwaniya Governorate Investigation Department, in coordination with the Cybercrime Department, monitored a social media account that posted content deemed offensive and contrary to public decency.
The video showed a gathering of several individuals of Indian nationality inside a camp located in the Al-Mutlaa area, engaging in inappropriate behavior, including cross-dressing. Authorities stated that the acts depicted in the video undermined societal values and constituted a clear violation of Kuwait’s laws and regulations.

Following investigations, security forces identified and arrested the account owner, who admitted to owning the account and confirmed that the individuals seen in the video were present during the filming and posting of the content.
Further security procedures led to the arrest of all individuals appearing in the video. Legal measures have been taken against them, and the case has been referred to the competent authorities to proceed in accordance with established laws and procedures.
The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to monitoring online platforms and taking firm action against content that violates public morals, emphasizing that no tolerance will be shown toward acts that conflict with Kuwait’s legal and social values.
