Arrest and deport any expatriate who might have had ‘contact’ with a Filipino believed to be suffering from AIDS

The Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs at the Ministry of the Interior Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah has issued orders to arrest and deport any expatriate who might have had ‘contact’ with a Filipino believed to be suffering from AIDS, reports Al-Anba daily.

Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah is said to have given instructions to the Director-General of the General Department for Immigration Investigations Acting Brigadier Abdullah Issa Rejaib to accelerate the investigations and deport all those who have come in contact with the carrier of HIV virus, while the citizens will be referred to the Infectious Diseases Hospital.

The daily added, after the authorities received information from the Ministry of Health, they began looking for him and discovered his cell phone had been switched off and could not be traced.

Fortunately, police discovered he was already in the custody of the Vice Squad and during interrogation he gave names of people who had ‘dealt’ with him and have been arrested. One of them was a Jordanian, who was staying with the suspect and has been referred for deportation.
