Filipino Arrested in Kuwait For Opening Massage Parlor During Curfew, Filipina Mother Infected With COVID-19 Gives Birth

To stop the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus, the Kuwaiti government imposed strict openings of establishments all across the country. However, there are still a lot of violators choosing to open their businesses despite the order to close certain establishments throughout the country.

The Kuwait Municipality through the help of the Public Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Trade closed down a massage parlor in Salmiya, Kuwait that remained open amidst the curfew implemented throughout the country.

A Filipino national was taken by the police as he was found inside the parlor. He was currently monitored by the Residence Investigation Department and legal measures and will be deported back to his own country.

In other news, a Filipina gave birth to a baby while confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus.

Kuwait recorded its first woman to give birth while infected with COVID-19. The Filipina is said to be 7 months pregnant when she gave birth by cesarean section. The OFW is in good condition and already recovering from the coronavirus. As for the newborn, the baby was put in incubation for premature infants. The baby is in good condition
