No Appointment, No Biometric.

The Ministry of Interior called on everyone to book an appointment in advance through the “Meta” platform through the unified government application for electronic services “Sahel” before heading to the centers designated for biometric fingerprinting, as “no references will be received without a prior appointment.”

The General Department of Security Relations and Media said in a press statement: “The plan drawn up by the General Department of Forensic Evidence for the period of appointments for fingerprinting is sufficient for everyone and before the end of the specified period.”

The Ministry stated regarding what was circulated on some social media sites about the crowding of visitors in front of one of the fingerprint centers, that “the incident was dealt with immediately,” indicating that the crowding was due to “the presence of a large number of visitors without a prior appointment.”

Last February, the Ministry of Interior announced a three-month deadline for taking fingerprints for all citizens and residents, starting on March 1, 2024, and ending on June 1, 2024, and that all transactions related to the ministry would be stopped if they were not taken. The Interior Ministry said in a statement at the time that it was continuing to take fingerprints at all of the country’s border crossings, Kuwait International Airport, and the centers prepared for that.
