The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has launched a new update through the “My Identity” (Hawyti) application, allowing residents and citizens to generate a Quick Response Code (QR Code) for collecting their Civil ID cards.
The new feature is available for:
- First-time Civil ID issuance
- Replacement of lost Civil ID cards
The update aims to simplify and speed up the card collection process while reducing waiting time during pickup.
How the QR Code System Works
Step 1
Users will receive a notification through the Hawyti app once their Civil ID card is ready. The notification includes a link to generate the QR Code.
Step 2
After entering the registered mobile number, the system will send a One-Time Password (OTP) verification code.
Step 3
Once verification is completed, the QR Code will be issued and can be used to collect the Civil ID card.
The initiative is part of Kuwait’s ongoing digital transformation efforts to improve government services and enhance user convenience through smart electronic solutions.
