A child of an Overseas Filipino Worker is asking for help for the immediate repatriation of the remains of their mother who passed away in Kuwait.

In a GMA report, the deceased OFW was identified as Menerisa Mesina Aranjuez, 41-year-old from Cabiao, Nueva Ecija.

Aranjuez was working in Kuwait for 10 years when she got involved in a car accident while inside a car with another OFW. She passed away while the other OFW was injured.

“Biyernes po nangyari. Wala po kaming balita about sa nanay ko po,” says Justine. “Humihingi po sana kami ng tulong sa inyo para mapabilis ang pag-uwi ng labi ng aking ina,” he added.

Justine asked the help of  the Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Susan “Toots” Ople, OWWA Regional Director Region III Atty. Falconi Millar, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Arnel Ignacio.

According to Millar, they are already coordinating with the Migrant Workers Office to process the benefits that will be handed over to the family of the OFW.
