DGCA Warns Travelers Against Booking With Unauthorized Airlines.

KUWAIT CITY — The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has urged travelers planning to fly on Tuesday to avoid making reservations or purchasing tickets from airlines that are not officially authorized to operate from Kuwait International Airport.

In a statement, DGCA spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi said the advisory was issued to protect passengers’ rights and help regulate air traffic operations in the country.

Al-Rajhi clarified that only Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways are currently operating approved flights from Kuwait International Airport. He noted that all other airlines have yet to receive the necessary operating permits and official approvals to resume services.

The DGCA also warned that any company offering unauthorized flight bookings could face legal and regulatory action in accordance with Kuwait’s aviation laws and regulations.

Passengers who have already purchased tickets or conducted transactions with unauthorized airlines were advised to submit complaints through the Sahl application. Authorities said the platform allows travelers to report violations and helps officials take the necessary legal measures against offending companies.

According to the DGCA, the Sahl application serves as the official electronic platform for receiving and tracking complaints related to airlines, travel agencies, and tourism companies. The system is intended to ensure passenger protection and facilitate faster follow-up and resolution of complaints by the concerned authorities.

The DGCA reiterated its call for travelers to verify airline authorization status before making any travel arrangements to avoid potential disruptions or financial losses.
