For many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), going home to the Philippines is one of the happiest moments after months or years of hard work abroad. But before returning to your job overseas, one important document you need is the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).

The OEC serves as proof that you are a legally documented OFW. It also gives you travel benefits such as exemption from travel tax and terminal fees. Thankfully, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) now allows qualified OFWs to process their OEC online through the Balik Manggagawa system.

Start by Visiting the DMW Website

Step 1: Visit the DMW Website

You can access the OEC online system using either of these two methods:

Go to DMW Official Website
Click Online Services
Click E-Registration

Method 2:

Go directly to:
DMW Online Services Portal

Step 2: Click “Let’s Go!”

Once you arrive at the website, click the “Let’s Go!” button to proceed to the login page.

HOW TO PROCESS YOUR OEC ONLINE

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

After reaching your dashboard, simply click “CLOSE” on the Pag-IBIG Corner pop-up.

Step 2: Click “Balik Manggagawa”

On the right side of the dashboard, look for the Related Links section.

Click “Balik Manggagawa.”

Step 3: Enter Your Travel Details

Provide the following information:

Flight schedule
Airline details
Other necessary travel information

After completing the details, click NEXT.

Step 4: Review and Confirm

Double-check your contract information and answer the confirmation questions carefully.

Make sure all details are correct before proceeding.

Step 5: Print Your OEC

Once confirmed, the “Print OEC” button will appear at the top section of the page.

Click it, open the file, and print your OEC.

Before your flight:
