A zero-tolerance policy would be applied towards any abuses or violation of the law while holding parties to usher in the New Year, security sources said.
Any tent that is used for mixed-gender parties or to engage in illegal activities would be taken down, according to a plan drafted by the security authorities with the support of the Municipality of Kuwait, Kuwaiti daily Al Anba reported on Monday.
Patrols will be deployed in several areas and campaigns will be conducted in large hotels and restaurants where celebrations are held.
Any instance of noise pollution or public disturbance will be handled swiftly, the sources added.
The sources added that there would be strict measures to ensure the full application of the law in suspicious places and that the people caught in compromising situations would be referred to the competent authorities
