It’s Official: Philippines Lifts Deployment Ban on Domestic Workers To Kuwait

It’s official. The Philippine government has lifted the ban on the sending of Filipino domestic workers to Kuwait.

Based on the circular from Labor Attache to Kuwait Nasser Mustafa, recruitment offices can now start reopening their doors towards the recruitment and employment of Filipino domestic workers as per the mandate of Philippine Labor Minister Silvestre Bello III.

According to the circular, the Philippine Overseas Worker’s Office (POLO) will be issuing a disclosure license from 9 am until 1 pm for the foreign recruitment office. Starting this coming Wednesday, April 21, the office will start to receive re-evaluation requests and renewal requests for job orders in the morning, around 9 am until 10:30 pm.

As for the applications that are for new domestic workers’ employment contract, the processing will begin on Sunday, April 25 from 9 in the morning until 10:30 in the morning.
